MADE FOR BRIGHT FUTURES.
A study in rebranding by Carrington College
One essential component of any rebranding effort is the creation of a brand standards guideline. For Carrington College, we refreshed their brand look and feel, updating their color palette, imagery, voice, and typography, then created a comprehensive guideline to provide direction for correct usage across all consumer touch points, helping to ensure consistency of application, and heighten brand awareness.
To kick off the brand refresh, we developed an umbrella concept called “You’re Made for This,” rooted in the fact that never before have there been so many opportunities available to so many people to enhance their lives with a reputable career. Even young people who were raised in families that don’t have a single member with a college education are using that fact as motivation to be the first.
These days, with so much focus on high tech careers, the trades have seen a significant drop in skilled practitioners. So, Carrington College opened the Trades Education Center (TEC), offering three skilled trades programs to choose from. For the new TEC, we developed a look and feel that evokes the Carrington brand, while subtly distinguishing itself from their other programs.
Especially when communicating with a college-aged audience, social media is an essential marketing element. For Carrington College, we created a brand-integrated look and feel, and posted several times every week across the Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms.
In addition to promoting the many different academic programs offered by Carrington College, we created content on a wide variety of subject matter, including inspirational quotes, holiday wishes, alumni spotlights, and career information.
With the outbreak and spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, demand for healthcare professionals began growing. In response, we helped Carrington College meet the challenge with a “Heroes” campaign that promoted their Medical Assisting program.
To help inspire students enrolled in the Criminal Justice program, we created classroom wall graphics featuring relevant terms and phrases.
For students needing to meet prerequisite requirements before starting a degree program, Carrington College introduced the Fast Track Pathway. We helped them promote it with a full suite of social media and a website landing page.
